    Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a proof of concept, a prototype and an MVP?

A proof of concept asks whether something can be built. A prototype asks how it should work, and is tested with people but not shipped. An MVP is released to real users to find out whether they'll use and value it.

    Which validation method is cheapest?

A landing page test or concept interviews, usually days of work. Start there when demand is the unknown, and only build once the cheap test has failed to prove you wrong.

    What is a kill criterion?

The result, decided before you run the test, that means you stop or change course. Writing it down first stops you from reading a weak result as a promising one.

    Is the tool free?

Yes. No signup, and your answers stay in your browser. If you want help running the test, our Experience Builder does exactly that.
